Default Just back form Switzerland and driving the R8

I was just in Switzerland for 2 weeks and had the chance to rent a brandnew R8 for 3 days and drove it to the italian part of Switzerland for the weekend.

I drove the car from Zurich to Ascona and Lugano and back to Zurich and put around 450km (280 miles)on it. Instead of going through the Gotthard tunnel I took the old street that goes over the pass. It was an awesome drive. The car handles very different than any other Audi I have driven and reminds me of a 911 Turbo. The turn in response is razor sharp and the car really hangs on the thottle. And the nicest thing is that you can provoke the car with your right foot and it loves to step the rear out when you accelerate out of a turn. Now that is something no other Audi will ever do properly. It is a real sports car that gets your heart going.

The car is incredible and I would love to have one, but I think I will wait until I can pick one up used in a year or two.

Here are some pics.

Default Who did you rent it from?

Looking to go to Europe in July, and would love that info if you got it.
Thanks in advance.

Default Here is the info

I rented it from Prestige Auto Rental in Baden Switzerland. I'll look up the number for you and will post it. It was SFr. 320.00 ($255) a day with 200 km included.

Default Darn it- I just spent last week in Zurich/Munich in a rental.

Was the 200km per day or per rental period? I was thinking of renting an RS4 from Avis Frankfurt or Munich when I go back in June. But they have a 400km cap.
