Default Expensive pothole-OUCH!

Was driving on a country road in the Beast in the local regional park yesterday, about 35mph, not at all aggressively, went around a corner, heard loud bang. Pulled over at next turnout (50 feet), both passenger side tires completely flat, with small gouge in both wheels.

OnStar didn't work (no cell coverage), hiked 1/4 mile to get cellphone signal, got AoA tow to dealer. Bottom Line (besides wasted afternoon and the ignoble sight of a muddy RS6 on a flatbed)
1 unrepairable wheel, 1 possibly repairable but chose to replace, 2 new Dunlops, busted foglight, Estimated to fix: $2700. OUCH!

I still don't know what happened, boulder at side of road, pothole, ?? I need to go back there just to figure it out.

Default FWIW, I searched and found a complete set unused w/ Dunlops for $2K

I would not pay dealer price for this wheel. You can search around here and RS6.com as well as I'm sure a half dozen other Audi forums and someones bound to have OEM, for a lot less. At the very least, buy the whole package for less then the two retail and you'll have spares incase it happens again. eMail me if you need help.
