We do know, in two years, there have probably been about 20 failures that we know about from the forums. So, assuming everyone in the US with a failure posted about it, 1% is reasonable based on the postings. I agree the extrapolation to 5% is not based on verifiable number but was rather basically pulled out of my ass. It might be wildly high. But there are almost certainly some failures that have gone unreported on the internet. Regardless, a two-year failure rate of 1% is unacceptably high.

On the warranty issue, I may be wrong. I no longer have the warranty manual to review but if you looked at it I assume you are correct.

My understanding was that shocks are not covered outside of 1yr/12K and once the DRC goes, the shocks are ruined. There have been owners hassled about DRC repairs outside of one year though and that is where the 1yr/12K warranty discussion comes from:

    Out of Warranty
    Out of Warranty 2
    Out of Warranty 3

Also, it should be noted that RS6 DRC CPO claims have been routinely rejected.

I hope you are correct. Please let everyone know what you find out on Monday.
