It's at Nalley Audi in Roswell, GA. Was on eBay with $47,900 opening bid (down from $51,900), but has a $99,000 reserve as it turns out. In other words, they don't really want to sell through eBay, just advertize.

Car was sold new by this dealer, serviced there and traded back in, I believe for a 2008 RS4.

Owner is supposedly one of their best customers... drove the pace car at Road Atlanta, is a collector, very meticulous, yadda, yadda, yadda. Typical salesman BS.

However, the very large pictures on the website are gorgeous. It's been through the Audi 300 point check for CPO, but that would be $1900 extra. Standard warranty runs through 12-22-2010.

Only thing I don't like is the Aluminum Beltline Trim, but I could live with it since it's a nice compliment on a red car.

Carfax looks normal, VIN ends in 4548... so are there really over 4000 cars between this RS4 sold in Dec '06 and the Avus Silver one I'm also looking at in Portland, OR that is VIN 272, which was sold in Aug '06? Seems a bit far-fetched.

The Misano Red RS4 would end up costing about $3,000 more than the Avus Silver car due to price and shipping.

Even with the shipping (my estimate is $1500 for closed transporter) I would still save about $10,000 compared to a new one, although the car is a 2007 with 16K miles and two years warranty vs essentially no miles and four years warranty. That's the tradeoff I'm struggling with.

I currently have a deposit on the Misano Red car and will need to decide ASAP whether to follow through.
