I posted on this several months ago and included a sound clip on Youtube (url attached). The sound is still great, with no raspiness. Had mine welded as well, so it could be reversed by someone with the right tools. I keep my exhaust valves open since I can't stand the throttle feel of the S button, so I can't compare the difference in sound (the sound clip has the valves open - same as S button on).

I'm in Phoenix if anyone wants to hear the sound in person prior to purchasing (again, I have no affiliation with ECS).
