I'm looking at buying a new one because of the killer price deals. But then I read about how the new B8 chassis is so great and the supercharged B8 S4 will be a better car than the B7 RS4... or the S5 guys say all the new technology in the new cars is fantastic and everytime you see one on the road you will regret buying "that out of date design" and I come away really confused.
Seems like prices on the RS4, new and used, have plummeted lately, so even with a great deal on a new car, if I had to sell soon for some unexpected reason I'd probably take at least a $10K hit.
Therefore, I'm hesitating... and thinking of switching gears and ordering what seems like a safer bet, although still a lot of fun, an S5.
Comments from those that own an RS4 and have driven the S5 would be appreciated. To me, the RS4 seems like more car for the same price... but yes, it is the old technology.
Don't know if this matters, but I don't switch cars very often, I normally keep them at least 5 years and usually much longer (I've had the 944 S2 for 11)
Thanks for any insight.
