allow me to summarize.
you have 2 basic choices: a) use a VAG approved oil, or b) use a non-approved oil.
VAG-approved oil (502.00):
Pros - the approved oil for your car, which won't void your engine warranty.
Cons - Scott says it sucks.
Non-approved oil:
Pros - Scott says it doesn't suck.
Cons - not approved by the company that warranties your engine. Engines are expensive.
