Hello forum. I am fortunate enough to have just purchased a new 2008 RS4. I stopped into the dealership last week not planning on buying one, but the trade-in figure and the number for the car were too good for me to pass up. I'm sure I'll be in here (and the new VB forum) often.

I have been getting 20-22 MPG on the instrument cluster. Is this accurate and can I expect to continue to achieve this after break in?

What is the "normal" operating oil temp for the car? I have seen 215 degrees so far. At what temp can I start to rev it out after startup?

I find the car to be quiet, even in S mode. Will it get louder as I put on miles?

That's all for now. I apologize if any of these are answered in the manual. I am waiting to get it from the dealer (its backordered?).

i'd suggest an aftermarket exhaust if you want it louder. magnaflow has worked well for me.

I'll look into exhausts. Do you recommend deflapping?

i had magnaflow too and loved it. i just sold the mags because i'm trying to sell the car and it's so quiet now. i miss the mag sound.

no discernible negatives, and i've been flapless for about a year now.
