I'm adjusting my expectations regarding Invisible Shield on white cars

It was a lot easier than I thought. I used a hair dryer to heat the mask to about 120 degrees per the website's instructions. The hood was already that temp so I just started in a corner and pulled it right off. It was a lot thicker than I thought and is likely a testament to the lack of rock chips on the front end. The customer service dept. hasn't gotten back to me yet, but the invoice says the film was 3M brand, for what it's worth. It had been on the car about 15 months.

Doesn't seem that the paint under the mask is any different (less faded) but I'll reserve judgement until after a wash and wax and an inspection in the sun.

Ibis White is a very bright white, so it's unlikely any clear mask will really be completely clear. It's unfortunate that this had discolored so much in so little time, with what I would consider having enjoyed a very pampered and protected life. I'm on the fence about re-application; it did its job, but it also looked like it had been chained up in a room with Patty and Selma during a MacGyver marathon. For now it's getting Zaino'd and not driven around any semi trucks.

3rd to VentureShield. Make sure to ask which one would look ....
better longer on IBIS white. It comes in both 8 and 15 mil, on my daytona grey pearl the 15 mil looks fantastic.
