Has anyone ever tracked their RS4?.....

You can get a spec. Miata for a lot less than that......
Why do you bother with a porsche if you are afraid of wacking it up at the track?
Do you have any other insults?.......

I proved otherwise...and you just contradicted yourself, because yes, a spec miata is much less and is real racing...so much for your >>>50k assertion...
who said I'm 'afraid' of 'whacking it up'?
I fear nothing but ignorance and you scare the heck out of me
if you sling 'em, you should be prepared for the return fire

I don't think anyone was talking about racing, merely DE's. Enjoy racing your G...ahem Cayman. When you get some ***** maybe you'll take to the track on a sportbike.

Between Arthur and Randy (A.K.A. Valentino Rossi) I am not sure who is the toughest dude.........
Would you guys mind posting some videos of the 951 and the superbike?
I can't wait to see your superior skills......

when I drive I do it for my own edification, not to pose on the camera to attempt to prove to others how cool I am...a stopwatch will suffice
I'm an amateur, a novice, a student...unlike you who foist yourself off as the next Hans Stuck, Walter Röhrl or Paul Frère...I know my limitations, apparently you have none...since you think the only way a car can 'fully appreciated' is on a race track...btw, they are STREET cars

Maybe one day we will meet at a PCA event.....
See you at the track (without the STREET car, of course)

My 2 bits.
I went to the Audi Club Chicago chapter Drivers Ed (DE) event this past weekend at the Autobahn in Joliet. My second time there. Great time, and learned alot. I also learned that the RS4 is a pig (almost 3900 lbs on the scale), and needs to be driven differently than a normal track car. The BRAKES are not invincible, especially if you slam on them at the end of straighaways. They get REALLY HOT. Better off downshifting and sliding more to rub off speed. I scorched my front rotors from too much braking. Looking at new OEM rotors for $330 each. I was also running OEM pads. Different opinions about what to do w/ pads. I am switching today to Stoptechs street performance pads, mainly because Chicago Performance & Tuning had a set to buy, and b/c they are suppose to be better than stock.
Overall,
- with $250 for track insurance,
- replace the rotors after 4 or 5 events(figure $100 put aside ea time out),
- replace pads after 2 or 3 events.
Adds $450 per event.
Was it FUN? Oh Yea. Would a stripped down Miata or old BMW make more sense if I went out more often? Oh Yea.
Suprisingly, not alot of options for rotors either. I am thinking about the Brembo rotor only upgrade. But that is $2100, uses same calipers, and fits in the stock rims.
Obviously, if the DRCs die once warrantee expires, i will go to coil overs. And track tires and rims are in the plans too. As well as a GMG/GIAC software upgrade to go along with the GMG racing exhaust (Sounds Awesome).
Or chuck it all and get a real track car and save some $.
Things to consider.
