Default Verruckt...I know you know all this stuff probably better than I but......

there is one situation in the RS4 where I'm willing to bet the injectors are running near the limit. That is the situation of heavy throttle at high rpm when the engine is cold. While this may not be an advisable way to drive one's vehicle, the car's engine management has to be able to cope with the possibility of such a condition, on occasion, without throwing a code. This is the reason for the 7k rpm limit until a warmer operating temp is reached and a leaner A/F ratio can be utilized.

While I don't know for certain, even a small increase in air entering the engine under these conditions could prove to be beyond the capacity of the injectors and ECU.

And, yes, I am just speculating because I don't know the actual capacity and properties of the injectors nor the actual ECU algorithms.

Default and the R8 has a better header design

I'm suspecting industrial misdirection.

Did a lot of driving this weekend at speeds of 120+, Still no check engine light. No question in my mind that I have gained power, Most notable at higher speeds.

Possible because the Unitronic likes the increase in air flow
