Well you know some manufacturers use fake stuff. The previous gen TL has stickers in it on top of plastic to make it look like metal. Lexus almost never uses real wood, just plastic.
For fun I've always wanted to say, if I snap this in half and it's wood I'll pay for it, if you not you do to someone with a Lexus.
I will say as a car guy and a car salesman I love dealing with people who know cars and appreciate the finer points of cars whether it be materials or engineering.
