Came across an Audi oil change instruction which stated for the RS4 "do not extract oil!"

Related question: how many qtrs does your dealer workorder state upon oil change?
Last time my work order stipulated 8 qtrs, when the first time I had an oil change (diff dealer) they put 10 qtrs in.
Just wondering if this dealer used an oil extractor (contrary to book) and hence some of the oil was left over and why he needed 8 qtrs to top it off...

Just as I thought. Now I am really mad @ stealer...
When I asked upon checkout, I got the usual answer of: "they all take that much" (meaning 8 qtrs)...
I end up doing oil changes in between the free maintenance period anyhow (10K miles is way too long to run the Castrol in this FSI engine), so will be draining it pretty soon anyhow, but the lack of knowledge dealers possess on our car is alarming (and this is a major dealer that has had experience with the RS4!)

Well I just got an extracter that runs off my air compressor...
and it's the dogs bollocks. One of the three supplied tubes when right down the dipstick tube and well into the pan. Took out 10 quarts in as many minutes.
mityvac MV7300. Only problem is that it only holds 9 qts so you have to empty some out part way through. So that's an easy way to refresh the oil between services.
