Default buy an RS4 cabrio or wait for the S5 cabrio

Im going back and forth. I want to get a drop top for the wife. It would be a weekend car that we probably would put 7 to 10K miles a year on tops. Im leaning towards the RS4 but after seeing a few articles about the upcoming S5 cabrio Im not starting to rethink my stance.

Do I buy a used RS4 cabrio or wait for the S5 cabrio. If so would you go with the V8 S5 version or wait until the S/C powered S5 comes out in a year? Lots of decisions to make and would love to hear others opinions.

I personally love high revving engines so that would be why I'd probably chose the RS4 but both cars look amazing and it would be a tough decision.

Are they releasing a V8 S5 Cab in the US?

Here in Australia they're going straight to the SC 6 for the S5 Cab - I thought this was the way globally.

Nothing beats the V8, You can still find brand new RS4 Cabs on lots for $70k. I loved mine, Very fun car. Can take the family out for a nice top down ride one day and the next have fun bombing around in a real performance car

RS4 cab is the best of both worlds.
If I was shopping all over I would definitely look for one.
Once in a while I think of putting my recently purchased 07 with 16k miles for sale and get me a convertible. Who knows I may just do it sooner than later .

Cheers

Nick

I know, I traded mine in with 5,200 miles and thats right what they listed it for. I noticed it not listed for sale anymore so guess it's been sold. Someone got a great deal considering I left the Tubi and Gruppe M intake on. I just threw out the new price since thats a great price off the $85k I paid for new

Default I own an RS4, but I have to admit the MTM news is interesting

Supposedly they are getting 431hp out of the S/C V6 with just a chip upgrade for $3k.

Presumably that would work on the S5 cab with the same engine, and you'd have the better front/rear balance and the more modern platform. I love my RS, but that does sound tempting.

Quick Reply: buy an RS4 cabrio or wait for the S5 cabrio
