So came down and took the baby for a spin, took me a few minutes before I noticed the angle on shotgun side mirror was a bit off, so I stopped at next gas station to check, not only did I notice the mirror was loose, it had been kicked and someone had scratched the whole left side of the car with some sharp object. At this point I used several verbally offensive words.

I was able to push the mirror back in but its broken and needs to be replaced.

I’m sorry to whomever I upset by owning a RS4, I will seriously consider you next time when I buy a car and get a cheap used car that you can also afford. What a waste of time and money!

It seems that you were keyed.
People in this world are sometimes jealous and that makes them acting like idiots.

Can you feel the paint scratched with your fingers? If yes you will need to repaint unfortunately. Otherwise you may be able to wet sand and buff it. Mirror is broke and needs to be replaced.

Did it happen in a public place? Any cameras around? Can you ask for some footage possibly capturing someone doing it? By the way file a report with the local police department. They may have leads.

there are too many losers loose in this world that will never be able to have anything nice and are offended by people who have stuff nicer than they do. Your stuff in your home is safe because it is out of sight but your car is always out there waiting for an a-hole to inflict their anger at their own short comings. That is a reason I drive Audi over some other brands. It doesn't stick out as much.

I am sorry that you have to deal with someone else's pain inflicted on your car. May that a-hole get what they deserve in life.

Thank you all for the support in these dark times, now I’m going to be without my baby for 2-4 weeks, which absolutely sucks in the middle of the summer. With co-pay, some additional paint work and service it ended up costing me around $1,500.00 USD.

I wish I was back in the states, at least I could call it self-defense and shoot the bastard who did this to my girlfriend.

Yeah Reggie, it was parked outside at night. We just moved and have not received out parking space in the parking garage (Things are done in mysterious ways in Europe) but I hope this will be settled until I get it back from the shop.
