Default traded in 2008 S4 for '08 RS4 Cabrio

Getting used to shifting again, and boy the power is insane.
This thing is a wolf in sheep's clothing, so stealth.
i hope to be gaining more knowledge by reading what you experienced guys/gals have to say.
My only current question is about the Carbon build-up. What's up with that, and how do i know if it needs addressing?

Nice - congrats on the new car.

RS4 Cabs are super rare, particularly in Mugello Blue.

Google or search in the forums for "RS4 carbon buildup" you will find more than you wanted to know.

Basically all engines suffer from carbon buildup due to different qualities of gas and oil through the car's life. FSI engines and specifically the one in the RS4 seem to have a serious issue with a massive buildup of carbon only after 20k miles. Some believe this effects performance, some get it cleaned, some don't care. The cost is time if you do it yourself, free if you sweet talk Audi NA and have warranty or CPO, or avg 1k if you have a dealer or indy shop do it.

Nice looking car, I have never seen a cabrio. I always wondered how the back seats looked and truck size is arranged with the cabs.

41k, black interior. i was amazed at the difference in the carbon-fiber quality vs. the S4's.

Nice car. I love the look. I had wanted a cabrio but with the hard winters here, I'd need a hard roof to be warm and safe.

But enjoy, you've found a beauty.
