Default Yup

Still living on the Eastside...slumming it up.

You keep your RS stock? How about the avant? My avant is coming up on 4 years old(in about 6 months). You know what that means, time for a new car :-). I'll be watching the price of CPO's RS cars, but still unsure about used cars in general.

Did anyone ever discover the solution to the incredibly loud squawk from the bluetooth?

Yea, turn down the volume on your cell phone and it won't ring as loud.

Often it's the connection noise that is ear piercingly loud, not necessarily once you initiate a call.

It is very annoying though..

I just turn down my ringer volume on the cell phone itself and when it rings through the car via BT, it's not loud.

I have the same squawking issue on my 06 s4.. It was really bad when I had a treo.. Not as bad now with the Iphone but it still seems to do it whenever you connect on that initial call. After that I dont seem to have a problem. It think I blew out a speaker from it and the radio volume was barely turned up. Not too happy about that.

I believe this is an Audi BT issue. I had the same problem with all vehicles until my 09 A4. No problems with that vehicle.

Default I have a solution for the squawk....

My blue tooth makes that horrible sound at the end of a call when I am hanging up.

Instead of hanging up with your phone...hang up the call with your steering wheel. The button on the left has a "hang up" feature. Just push the button when you are done and no more annoying squawk at the end of the call. It woked for me.
