Has anyone added and protection on the paint such as a film? If this is done to the S7 will it detract from the beautiful paint job out of the factory?

I do suggest doing Xpel Ultimate film on the front of the car, I have it on my RS5 and R8...for a year on both. Worth it and no its not very noticeable. On the 7 I would do the front bumper area and the front fenders to about a third of the way around the wheel arch and then across the front 1/4 of the hood or do the entire hood and front fenders depending on your budget, then the sill/rocker panel extension below the doors and up into the sills themselves into the door opening to protect against shoe hits; the door handle pockets (nails do a lot of scratching) and then the rear bumper up into the hatch opening for protecting the area behind the wheels, the rear bumper from parking hits and protection from taking things in and out of the hatch. There is a particular film that is used on the glass that I'm blanking on the name of right now but I would do the headlights as well. Skipped it on my RS5 and wish I hadn't.

I also then did a coating on both cars called 22ple (or similar, there is a few long term coatings out there now) that is a long lasting coating that I will say does a great job of protecting the paint from scratches/swirls.
