Default Need Advice...About to Order 2015 RS7

Hi everyone....posted this on Audizine forum, but want to see if anyone else has different opinions....

About to order 2015 RS7 Estoril Blue with Audi Exclusive Interior Leather Package:

1) Since Im ordering a car that's custom made (Audi Exclusive Interior)...how much room is there for negotiating the price of the car?Doesnt the dealer have an upper hand in this case?

2) What would be a fair price to offer...I.e. $3000 above invoice?

3) Since the 2015 pricing is not out yet, when would I negotiate for the price? When I ordered it this week or when the car arrives? Ive never "ordered" a car before. Ive always buy a car that's available on the lot...so this is a new experience for me.

Thanks for any advice for a newbie.

I ordered my 2014 rs7, and I got $5000 discount.
I don't think it is a good idea to order a car without the order guide. If I recall correctly, a base rs7 will bring at least $8000 net revenue to the dealership. The more equipments you choose, the more revenue to the dealer.

But the rs7 is limited per dealership, so the dealer will not give you huge discount. If you find a right time, for example, at the end of the month and the salesperson need to sell more car to finish his monthly target, you will have higher probability to get a good price.

Even if the salesperson want to give you a good price, the bill has to get approved by the manager. So it is hard to say what is a good price .

I suggest you go to one audi dealer and get a quote, then find other audi dealer who can beat this price, and repeat. Do not put any deposit before you get a good price.

The end of the month really doesn't matter on a special order rs7.

Nobody gets paid until the car gets delivered and you drive off the lot...3-4 months later. And it could be 5-6 months with exclusive options.

You're probaly not going to get much discount of a car with exclusive options. Dealers are always worried about people backing out and not taking delivery of a car with a $10,000 + custom interior.

Thx guys for the advice...but I'm holding off on placing the order in light of official news of updated/Faclifted A7/S7.

Off course no words about any updates to the RS7 but I'm willing to wait. If I'm spending >$100,000 for a car, I want the latest tech such as 4G LTE and partial virtual cockpit.

Why wait? Who knows whether or not the RS7 will get the facelift or even be produced in 2016? There are three possibilities:
1) RS7 continues production unchanged next to the facelifted A7/S7
2) RS7 is discontinued/replaced by another RS variant, etc.
3) RS7 gets the facelift

It is pretty unusual for RS cars to get a facelift so, if it the car you desire, now is the time. There will always be something better next year.

Funny you should mention that. I was just in to my local dealer (shall go nameless) who has a 2014 $130,000 RS7 with an inspection sticker (buyer must have backed out). I took a test drive and then asked what the options were that jacked up the price so high. I took a look and there was an $11000 line item "Audi Exclusive". I asked "Exclusive WHAT" and was told a special INTERIOR. An $11000+ interior??? I was interested in the car but told him I wouldn't pay for the interior or some other options I didn't need, plus it was "last year's" model. Guy stood firm, didn't surprise me when I inquired about ordering a 2015 and in a huff the salesman told me "we charge MSRP for all orders with a $10000 non-refundable deposit and you probably won't get the car until next year".

I got out of there real fast. The car looks good on him.

Its official...Audi just announced the facelifted 2015 RS7 coming this summer in Germany.

I assume the USA will not get the new facelifted RS7 till 2016.

I'm definitely holding off ordering until I can get the new facelift.
