To clarify, this is the pre-order guide. As I understand this is what you get to chose from for the first few allocated to the dealers and then later in May the regular ordering will begin with different pacakges.

Well, I am a sucker for Carbon Black Optics now... so Package #3 would have me in for $131,590. Phew. I always wanted an RS6 Avant, but selling the 911 and A4 Avant to get a car that will be lost in the mall parking lot... Well, hmmm....

OK. SO what package are you going to pick? I would like to choose exactly what I want but it's not listed as an option. Do I wait and see if/when they open more options? I am really on the fence about air vs. drc suspension.

From what I've seen, I'd say package #2 has been the most common.

But if the packages that are currently available don't include what you want, then you should wait. If the packages have more than you want, then that's a different story.

We went with package #3. It has almost everything we wanted with the exception of the carbon ceramic brakes and (implicitly) the increase in top end which I admit is more bragging rights than anything else
