Default New Winter Beater...

Well guys, this is my new winter beater. I had a beautiful 99.5 A4 1.8 tip that I bought several months ago to drive while the Green Monstah was being finished. We are getting close so a few weeks back I threw an ad in Craigslist because I thought it would take weeks to sell-WRONG. The first guy to see the car bought it. So, I was now without a car again. I was checking several sites and I found this one in Socal. Being able to fly anywhere immediately really has its benefits!

This car is also a 99.5 and a stick and has a whole slew of very tasteful mods:

K04 turbo with AMS chips, 5 bar FPR, Eurocode FMIC, Southbend DXD-F Series Racing clutch-its a little heavy but NICE, Aluminum Flywheel, Borla Catback Exhaust, Eurocode Test Pipe, Forge Bypass Valve, S4 Front Bumper and Fogs, HIDs, S4 Sides including Interior Moldings, M3 Lip Spoiler, Reiger Rear Window Diffuser, RS4 Grill, UUC Short Shifter, Custom Interior Matching A-Pillar Pod, Autometer Phantom Boost and Air/Fuel gauges, Cloth Sport Interior-I love the seats, S4 H-Sport Sway Bars, 5 BBS RC 17x8 Wheels, TT Front 312mm Brakes.

Matt is hooking me up with his Heatshield and I'm gonna add a cone filter. So, is this thing a Stage 3 or does that title require a bigger turbo? I've also got some parts I'm selling that are listed in the Marketplace. These include an APR 1.0 bar chip, an excellent condition K03, and I'm also contemplating selling the rims. The silver rims against this silver car is just too much silver. What do you guys think? I'm thinking something with black centers for some contrast. These are very nice rims that weigh 16.4 lbs but they just don't do it for me.

When it comes time, I may not be able to sell this beater. I'm getting very attached ;&gt

Default Man, that front mount doesn't look like it would see much airflow.

I agree, one heck of a winter beater! I'd call that stage 3 with the upgraded turbo, chip and exhaust. I like that lip spoiler, very subtle. How does the performance seem to compare to a RS2ed urS?

Default It would be close with a chipped urS-car.

It only weighs 3241 lbs. That FMIC is 10" tall and feeds the stock I/C so there really is a lot of cooling going on with 2 I/C's. I think it would run away from an RS2ed urS-car if it had the 2871 turbo. The car feels very tossable especially with the H-Sport Sway Bars. It could also use a set of coil-overs to make things right. Its got plenty of brakes with the front TTs. The cloth Sport seats are simply wonderful!

Default Stage 3 is using the GT series turbo.

Nice car! Definately not a beater! Wanna trade those RC's for a set of anthracite OZ Superleggera's?

Default Oh, secondary intercooler, ok.

Well, sounds pretty quick. Yeah, coilovers can improve any car. I believe you on the cloth sports.
