Lunch GTG this Friday @ Brothers BBQ Broomfield...
From Frank, S-Cars and all other gearheads invited:
"1) A quick reminder that a group of us will be getting together for lunch this Friday 5/21 at Brother's BBQ in Broomfield (565 U.S. 287, Broomfield, CO 80020, 303-635-2424). Their parking lot can be accessed from southbound 287 or from Alter street (across from our friends at Autosport Werks, and adjacent to McDonalds).
Their parking lot isn't as conducive to vehicular gatherings as some others may be, and they do get BUSY during the noon rush, so getting there at our scheduled start time of 11:30a is highly advised (you don't want to be the one parked next to the old pick-up truck)."
*** AND IN OTHER AUDI/S-CARS NEWS ***
"2) For those of you that don't know (and I imagine that would be a fair number of you as there was only one Audi on display last year!) there is a charity concours benefiting Cerebral Palsy Colorado on Sunday June 6th at Arapahoe Community college in Denver.
You can find more information here: http://cpco.org/concours/about.htm
You can register your vehicle to be judged or just have it out on the lawn for display. All of the major auto clubs are represented and the Audi Club will have a booth on premises. IMPORTANT: If you want to have your vehicle judged, and included in the program, you must register prior to 2:00p this Friday 5/21. Registering is easy, just contact Sandy Mariani at (303) 691-9339 and she'll hook you up. The cost to register for judging or display is only $30 before May 21st. After that, the cost to register increases to $40, and is for display only. You will receive two adult admissions, worth $18, with each registration. Registration fees are fully tax deductible.
Please sign up so we can have the Audis show up in force (that lone Imola S4 looked mighty lonely last year). There were over 50 BMWs last year and many more Porsches.

3) Mark your calendars for July 27th for an unprecedented Audi / Motorsports event in the Rocky Mountain Region. Prestige Imports (in Lakewood) and The Rocky Mountain Chapter (RMC) of the Audi Club North America (ACNA) have conspired to bring the Audi Stars & Cars events to our home town & track.
There will be two events on July 27th.
During the day, starting between 9:00a - 10:00a, previous SCCA championship winning drivers Randy Pobst and Michael Galati (of Audi Sport North America / Speed GT fame) will be offering rides at Second Creek Raceway. This lapping session will consist of 4 laps in ACNA provided Audis with Pobst or Galati at the wheel. A $100 donation will get you 4 laps of passenger seat time with one of these professional drivers. A $150 donation will add to this an in-car DVD of your experience. There will be photos and other items available as well. The purpose of this morning event is to help raise funds for the Second Creek Raceway replacement facility here in the Denver metro area. You will be able to sign up and make your donation at the RMC-ACNA website, www.audiclubrmc.org, and your donation is tax deductible.
The evening event on the 27th (starting ~6:00p) will be a reception held at Prestige Imports in Lakewood. It will include Pobst, Galati and their Speed GT Champion Racing Audi RS6s, and ALMS and Le Mans series drivers Marco Werner, J.J. Lehto and their Champion Racing Audi R8. The race cars will be on display in Prestige's showroom and there will also be an autograph session with the drivers, door prizes, food, and valet parking available.
Please contact RMC-ACNA chapter president Dean Esmail, at (303) 421-1338 or dean@audiclubrmc.org with any questions regarding the Audi Sport North America Stars & Cars events."

I am working at home/babysitting on Friday, so the little one may have to come too. But, she seems to put up well with Audi meets. I'll try to get up there.
