Default 17's or 18's for summer in Colorado

I can't decide what size to get. I have 16" Swings for winter. Can I get away with 18's in Colorado or are the roads too bumpy, etc??? What's the general concensus?

Default Having had both 18's and 19's on my car...

I can say that either are do-able here in Colorado. 18's allow for a bit more sidewall and hence less harsh of a ride. Both size wheels may be susceptible to bends from large potholes- 19's more so than 18's due to requiring a smaller sidewall, but you still run the risk with 18's (just watch out for those potholes). From a cost perspective, 18's are less expensive in terms of tires. For aesthetics, 19's look freaking huge (sweet)- 18's look just the right size.
