Default Depends how hard you intend to push your car on the twisties

If you aren't pushing too hard, a high performance A/S might fit the bill. I would still run dedicated winters during peak ski season since those offer extra bite on ice.

We ended up replacing a set of summer only Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s (Max Performance Summer) with Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season (Ultra High Performance All-Season) on our A6 Avant and haven't missed the performance difference. On the S4, I usually run Extreme Performance Summer's like Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R or Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07, but not before late-April since they handle like hockey pucks at freezing temps.

On the plus side you can run performance A/S farther into Fall or early Winter. I wouldn't track them however, so if that is on your agenda and you don't plan to have dedicated track tires another thing to consider.

Default The turbo back exhaust is 3 1/2"

Choices for mufflers in that size are very limited. The only choice I had was too big to really fit in the stock location. We ended up splitting the single 3 1/2" into 2 -3 1/2" pipes that reduce to 2 -3" pipes and then could use 3" mufflers. I also like to look of the dual exhaust.
