Default Agree with nord's assessment. Rankings inside

1. Snowbird
2. Solitude (beating out the Canyons only because it is a poor snow year and you are staying in Big Cottonwood Canyon). The Canyons sucks without lots of snow.
3. The Canyons
4. Brighton

Don't know about Brian Head/Powder Mountain. Agree again with Nord--check out Snow Basin instead.

My wife and I ride Snowbird most of the time. Brighton is our second choice.

Brighton has turned into a snow boarder haven... I would highly suggest Alta again

Default depends on what type of ski/boarder you are....are you bringing your wife and/or kids....more.....

hands down best skiing for an expert level skier is Snowbird/Alta.

I have skied at Snowbird my entire life (80+ days a year) and for an expert skier that is where the fun is to be had. (Along with nice powder and steep terrain comes the crowds.)

Now, if you want short lift lines and nice runs that are fun and not to difficult I think Solitude fits the bill. That is where I ski now that I am married. My wife is a decent skier but only skis groomers and hates being on the same run at the same time as 45 other people.

So here is my $.02

If you're a great skier...

Snowbird
Alta
Park City

If you're an ok skier and want to "just have fun"...

Solitude
Alta
Deer Valley

I cant offer much help if you snowboard. But there are a lot of people who snowboard at Snowbird and Brighton!

Best of luck!
