Snow tires on today. Boy is is slick out

Saw an A3 trying to get through an intersection with the front wheels screaming. Thought all Audis
were Quattro, but I guess not. The dude must have had summers on still since the dump truck behind him just went around.
Why would you buy an Audi and not have Quattro. Isn't that kind of the point to owning an Audi?

Lots of FWD audis out there
Why would people in Texas want an AWD car? Or a 4x4 truck?
I think they are called FronTrac.
In the A3, when it was introduced here, at first you could only get the 2.0T which was FWD, the 3.2 had Quattro. I believe you can now get the A3 with 2.0T and Quattro.

http://www.audiusa.com</a

I beg to differ, it is now optional

Why would people want a front wheel drive expensive german car? If I didn't live where it
snowed, I'd probably get a BMW. Who would buy a subaru if they were front wheel drive?
It kind of broke my heart to see 4 rings struggling across an intersection

4:1 center diff FTW!! It's like RWD in snow/ice... but you can still steer!
I would have to say I like it more than the original setup in these conditions. It's a lot more predictable because the back end will pretty much always be the end to go when it breaks loose. Before it would just kinda flat plow sideways and it was a little odd to drive out of it, but now I know what's going to happen and frankly love making it happen. ;-)
Bet you never thought you would hear that endorsement!
