Anyone of you have a tire shaved?
So one of my tires got trashed late last Summer/Fall and the other three have probably 80 - 90% of their tread wear left. I started pricing out replacing all four, which I had not really budgeted for this year as I need new tires for the Scout.
Anyway, I called Tire Source and they said they could shave a tire so it would have the same tread depth as my other three.
Curious if any of you have had this done. It is a much more cost effective solution to my dilemma than spending $600 on new tires.

Tire Source did it to a snow tire for me last year....worked out great. Make sure to bring one of
your other tires/wheels though as a reference. They also said they would not do used tires only new ones to match existing rubber.

Thanks everyone
I did some other reading online and everyone seems to agree it is a good route. TS charges $15 to shave.
Now I decide if I drive on the "bad" tire out to Boulder or try to get my 18"s to fit in the S.

I think they will start with a new tire and shave to match the others
But I could be wrong. Plus, used tires have stones and things in the tread that would destroy the cutting blade....don't ask how I know!
