Default OK, so its not EPA approved...........

But, I've never seen or heard of a newer car being damagaed by running E85, assuming the car is properly re-tuned. Have any more details on the damage?

Default Re: I've seen an E85 tuner out there for trucks. Check Summit Racing.

Do you use the station at Sims & Belview? There's no stations near me.

I use the station at Kipling and Jewell by my house or the one at Broadway by the shop.

Default So are you using the 40% more fuel theory for choosing injectors and such?

It's an interesting concept. One of the things I've read is that the high octane would actually allow E85 to be about as efficient as gas if the compression was high enough but that's impossible for most gas engines. Along those lines I was remembering that the 2.7T engine was originally designed as a diesel engine. If that is the case, I expect our engines could take a lot more compression. I wonder how a 2.7T with 10-12:1 compression would run on E85. It looks like the Green Giants or 42# injectors would be about right for flow on the stock MAF and a 4bar (stock) FPR.

Hummm....

I'm only contimplating it because I believe I can make it work with just a FPR/Lemmi change!
