Default Anyone have experience with handling a claim through the Denver Progressive Concierge Service Center

I was in an accident a couple weeks ago and the other drivers insurance (Progressive) finally accepted full liability. They gave me a couple options

1) Take it to their concierge service center, they give me a rental car and im out the door in 10 minutes. They handle the appraisal of damage, get one of their contracted shops to do the work and I don't have to do anything. They also provide a lifetime warranty on the repairs.

2) They send an adjuster out to give me an estimate. Progressive wont accept estimates from body shops so I have to take what they offer me. I would like to get the work done at SVE if I go this route and the work will likely cost more than what progressive offers me.

Its my first accident to be involved in and I don't want to get screwed here. What does the RM forum think?

Default I was talking to a friend about this recently. I had a couple of suggestions.

Taking it to a good shop like SVE should be the first priority and thus, I feel you should follow #2. You can certainly rebuff their estimates after you go to 2 or 3 additional estimates. Those are my suggestions. I think I'd prefer to have the repairs completed professionally and maybe pay some extra vs. some shop that is in the pocket of Progressive. Either way, it seems they should provide a rental during the time your vehicle is unavailable to you; regardless of the shop that you choose. The loss of vehicle use is their claim's fault, not yours.

Go with option two. I got rear ended by a Progressive insured and I just took it to my body shop and they estimated it. Progressive sent a guy to look at it...he dickered very little...my shop fixed it. They won't balk.

Default Yep... Same thing. I got hit by a Progressive insured driver.

Take it to the shop of your choice, and let the shop dicker with the insurance inspector. I've been hit twice. 1st time I took it to SVE and the next time I took it to M&M. I wouldn't take it to the Progressive preferred shops.
