then safety personnel I would have been all over it. Having come across scenes like that, a person in shock can make a lot of bad decisions in a matter of seconds. Not to mention the odds of a spinal or head injury are fairly high and there is a lot to be said to having someone there to stabilize that persons neck and back and to keep them calm so they do not further injure them selves. IMO if you have the training and can be there before safety personnel, you better get your ass over there.
