    Sorry for the delay in responding. I picked the car up yesterday.

    It's a low mile 1988 944 (65,000 miles). It's fairly basic. 4 cyl, 2.5L, 150HP. Looks great and will allow my C32AMG to stay home rather than get flogged around a track.

    I looked at Miatas, but in order to run in many HPDEs, I would need a roll bar and a hardtop; and due to my size, I'd probably need a race seat to drop me down lower. So, by the time it was in a condition to be tracked, it would be almost useless as a weekend street car.

    As a bonus the 944 actually has a little back seat that my kids fit into. And as a final bonus, an old 944 is the cheapest way to be a member of the Porsche Club of America!
