My first statements in the post were to get the chassis and suspension set up, then fiddle with the drivetrain.

The limited travel/droop is a killer. (That and the freaking weight). The EDL is the limiting factor once you get to the drivetrain. The car needs a real LS in the rear. (Although I haven't figured out how to delete EDL without messing up the ABS.) But if you have a LS, then EDL won't get in the way.

We have been talking about using a "phantom grip" set stiff in the rear and soft in the front (not an available option yet). This is a means to deal with some fuggely dynamics at high horsepower on certain tracks.

The mark4/A3 chassis is a lot of fun, but no contender for a well-prepped A4/S4.
