Default anyone looking for a project urq?

i hate to do this, but i need to get rid of my 85 urq. it's a bit of a project. i was intending on building a track car out of it but kind of fell on some hard times. never actually tracked it.
the car has been sitting for the past 2 years. i'm sure some of you remember me as 4CE. i haven't posted in quite sometime, and can no longer access my old account, so i had to start
version 2.0. if you search using my user name you can check my pic poster and older posts.

i just wanted to see what interest there might be here in my urq before posting elsewhere. i have seen no one really bidding on the few on ebay lately so i will probably not be posting it there.

the good.
it's an '85 with a 149k miles. original california car and has been it's whole life. no rust
i bought this car in LA from a dealership that the owner had this car in his collection. motor is really strong still. good pull on the turbo. eats a little oil but not much. maybe 1/2 quart every 1500 miles. interior is in really good shape. driver's seat has a little hole in the bolster and some scuffs on it. passenger seat is good but the seam has started to seperate near the front of the cushion. easy fix. back seat and all the door panels and carpet are all excellent.
no dash cracks!
never been chipped and hasn't had an upgraded wastegate spring.(planned on swapping the motor out)

my maintenance history on it. (have all documentation)
new oil pan, plug gasket (previous owner had almost stripped the drain plug)
new bosche plugs and wires
turbo return hose started leaking and was replaced
transmission mount replaced
thermostat replaced with a little colder one for the LA heat
aux fan switch
all new strut mounts and bushings
new passenger side motor mount
new radiator cover
have extra oil filters, 2 bottles of Pentosin coolant. an extra timing belt.
new grille nos

modifications:
porsche 996 (black) brakes w/ b5 S4 rotors
(less than 1000 miles best upgrade ever! still have original brakes)
koni/H&R shocks/springs probably 1500 miles on them (still have original springs/shocks)
brand new BBS RK's with yokohama avs tires. not more than 200 miles on them.
(still have original ronal R8's no tires, will not fit over porsche brakes)
euro lights front slanted (blau parts harness) and rear.
(still have original tails and coupe reflector. no longer have the original headlights.)
blau parts euro headlamp brackets and trim pieces
blau parts delrin bushings all around
blauparts stainless brake lines all around
blau parts short shift kit and nos shift ****
audi sport wheel
red styling aluminum strut brace
blaupunkt cd player and rear speakers
3in exhaust magnaflow muffler (no cat)

still have original floormats with rings. pretty good shape. little fraying on drivers side.

euro front headlight washers. not hooked up but installed in the bumper cap.

brand new never installed.
intercooler hoses one accordian style and the other is the 2 bennett/samco hose the $300 one.
i also have a 034 EFI hi output k26/garrett ball ball bearing turbo rated well over 400hp (for 10v or 20v apps)
and a braided water and oil line kit for 10v. also have a very good condition porsche 944 intercooler and an '86 coupe gt
cluster w 114k miles w trip computer

the bad.
basically the car has been sitting for 2 years. the brakes will need to be bled. power steering hose has a leak in it. sometimes holds fluid sometimes would dump it all.
the car is no longer white. well the inside is. i just planned painting the entire car during a motor swap to black.
it is currently primered (rattle can) yeah i know (dumbass). it has 2 dents in the rear quarter panels. one is on the lower side
before the rear wheel on the drivers side. it looks like the previous owner clipped turning in somewhere. not very noticeable but it's there.the one on the passenger side rear is where the wheel flare molds back into the taillight and is also not that noticeable but it's there as well.
currently the all the trunk carpeting is removed but in perfect condition. the rear bumper has been pushed in, purposely.
the front is just the cap. the bumper struts and metal inner bumper support have not been modified.

i will post some pics tomorrow and add anything i forgot. it's been in storage for awhile. i'm sure i'm forgetting a few things.
just email me any questions you have about the history ect. and i'll update the post or email you back.

sorry so long just want to be as honest as possible. the car is in the los angeles area. will need to be trailered out.

if anyone is interested in making an offer let me know by email please.

yeah it'll make it on a transport. it's just not so safe on the road without power steering and the brakes just had no pressure in them.

not sure on the price. it's a rustfree '85 that needs paint, a power steering line repaired, and the brakes bled and a cat installed.

other than that it's a complete urq with all the original parts except the steering wheel, headlamps and shift ****.

Default Your picture gallery

Put it here so others could view it.

Can you tell me about that turbo to igloo hose you have in the gallery, it resembles a 5kt michelin man hose. I bet its an arm and a leg, right?

http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/users/23405.phtml</a
