Default A2 Rally Bumper Group Buy at last.

Ok guys, heres the deal. I want a set of rally bumpers bad enough to put this together.

I have been working with both AM Cars and an Importer to get some of the A2 bumpers brought in. Jim Furdyn of Audi5TurboTech has been instrumental in putting this together. Normally these sell for £195UK each on their website, I have been able to get them down to £150UK each - Thats almost a hundred dollars off, depending on the exchange rate.

Here is how it will work:

*Everyone will be paying for their own order by contacting AM Cars directly. You must mention my name along with the group buy. (Sean McLane)
*Contact info will then need to be forwarded to me so I can keep track of the number of items. This will help me pre-plan the shipping once they are in the States.
*Everyone will pay a portion of the shipping to get them across the pond. The more we order the cheaper is becomes for everyone.
*Once in the states you will pay actual shipping to the final destination. Im working on finding the cheapest rates.
*I will put a fairly short term on the "buy" in order to keep things moving along, I will keep everyone updated as far as timing and arrival in the states. April 22nd, Im not trying to rush, but I dont want to hold up a container if its not necessary.
*Container will arrive on the east coast, actual shipping will be from New Jersey to wherever you want them.

The prices are as follows:

Front bumper £150

Rear bumper £150

Front fog light £72.48 each (the current supply of bumpers will not use these - I'll verify)

Front amber indicator £22.00 each (need right & left)

I think I have covered everything but get ahold of me with any questions and I will do the best I can. Pictures of these are on AM Cars website and I can also forward them via e-mail

Sounds nice. Suggestion: A link for AM Cars might be helpful.

Default That is best described as a Euro Bumper without headlight sprays

A2 bumpers do not have foglights integral to the molding.

If you look carefully at it. Its got along way to go before its a rally bumper. An A2 bumper cover won't even bolt up to the stock frame in the front of the car. Its also made from kevlar and is about 1/2" thick.

Edit: Just saw pictures on their website of a bumper cover without fog lights. Can you get one without the side reflector mounting?

http://www.amcarsquattro.co.uk/</a

An interesting read.
Some guys in the UK gave me this when I made a query.

Default I'm interested.

I've been looking at that front bumper for a while and might get one with you. What is the mounting system like? Would we need euro bumper mounting hardware? And please confirm about the fog lights, because I don't want them.

This would be really cool if it works. Thanks.

Just a note, while I'm pretty sure most here could fab one, the front turn signal is 2 pieces, the bulb holder/reflector and the orange cover. I believe when I bought mine they were separate. If your price is together, I'd love a set L&R.

I can't translate german prices though. Will I need different brackets to mount up the bumpers to my 4kq? How about a pic of the rear bumper.

They sell the amber corner/blinkers as a complete unit. You simply order left and/or right accordingly.

I have bought a number of parts from AM Cars over the years and not had any major issues with them, a couple of minor things which they sorted reasonably quickly.
Mind you there are some sharks in the UK trust me! I'm still owed nearly $2000 from that Corey Jones con artist.
