Treo 700w - Bluetooth

Treo 700w - Bluetooth
I have linked a Treo 700w (Verizon Wireless), and it seems to import the speed dial information and the recently dialed numbers. I can also dial numbers and receive calls with the phone. However, I have been unable to import my contact numbers. Does anybody know if there is a way to do this? I can always add more of the contacts to the speed dial functionality. I can also input the contact information manually via the MMI, of course. Also, it seems as if the number of telephone entries is limited to a maximum of 150. Would somebody confirm this? Any tips or shortcuts would be appreciated.

Re: Treo 700w - Bluetooth
I spent quite a while on the phone with Palm, Verizon and Audi on this subject. None seemed to know other than to say it SHOULD work. Some said it would only pick up those contacts flagged as Favorites. I couldn't get that to work either. What finally worked was flagging those contacts I really wanted to see in the car as Carkit category. As I recall, I first had to make that category available in Outlook, go through and flag the contacts and then head out to the Q7. It does work though!

Thank you for the info. Did you try to make a "Favorites" category? And that did not work? Is the "Carkit" category a default category in Outlook, or did you have to create it? This info is very helpful. At least now I know that all of the contacts will not transfer over automatically. Did you have more that 150 contacts in the "Carkit" category? If so, did only the first 150 contacts transfer over? Did you ask Audi if they will have a cradle for the Treo 650/700 at some point? That would be a plus so that the phone can be charged via the cradle.

Yes, I did try using the Favorites category initially -- I never could get it to see those. If I'm not mistaken, the "Carkit" category appeared after I loaded the Palm Treo 1.10 Updater. Visit the Palm website at following to see if you need this update:
http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/treo700wupdater/verizon.html
I then went through all of my contacts and flagged those I wanted to see -- I think I ended up with 130 so I never tested the 150 limit.
Although it's nice to be able to see contacts in MMI, I can only get them to list/display by first name so it's a little awkward to navigate through the list, but better than nothing.
I didn't have any conversation with Audi about cradles -- to be honest, Audi was very friendly, but altogether unhelpful in getting to the bottom of the issue.

Re: Treo 700w - Bluetooth
I added the "Carkit" category as a new category on my Treo, and it worked. Each name that is under the "Carkit" category shows up on the MMI. There is also a (w), (m), or (h) next to the name to distinguish work, mobile, or home number, respectively. As you discussed, contacts under the "Favorites" category did not show up on the MMI. However, the speed dial contacts also show up on the MMI. I will do some additional testing later in the week. It should also be possible for me to add a name tag to each contact so that I can dial by name using the voice recognition function. At least it is useful that the contacts under the "Carkit" category show up on the MMI. Otherwise, it would be a pain to input the information manually.
