Three months ago we bought our '08 Q7 S-line in black (wife) and an '08 535i sport in Artic white (me). This was my first BMW and I have to say I'm very impressed so far. It's the fastest and best handling sedan I've ever owned. Even with run-flats the ride is quiet and smooth. Now when I drive the Q7 it feels bouncy, noisy, loose and harsh in comparison (still solid as a rock though compared to our last full-size American SUV).

The 535i power is stunning. It's a beast at any speed with a flat torque curve. The sport transmission is a good compliment to the power. It corners better than my wife's TT 3.2 - pretty remarkable for it's size.

I can't get over how much these two manufacturers have gone out of their way to do things opposite from each other. Paddle shifts, gauge placement, idrive controller, button placement, the list goes on and on. If BMW goes up, in, clockwise and to the left then Audi goes down, out, counter-clockwise and to the right. It's really weird if you regularly drive both cars.

P.S. I haven't taken photos yet so I snagged these from another site for reference.

    Sig starts here...

I'll keep my money, my guns and my freedom... you can keep your change.
