Well, I had a chance yesterday to take some pics of our new Q7. After not seeing the car for a better part of 2 months while we waited for our car to make it stateside, we forgot how smooth it looks and drives. Also, I forgot how much I missed all of the "gadgets". The Advanced Key, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Camera, Adaptive Headlights, and power tailgate. The feature we did not get to use on our Euro Delivery because the cables were not available yet was the AMI. After spending a few days with the AMI has me very happy we decided to get it. It is very intuitive and runs my ipod exactly like you normally would run an ipod.......perfect integration. I know I read it was going to be this way, but seeing is believing. Really missed the Panorama sunroof as well.

A few comments:

Love the smooth power delivery, V8 sound, and superb brakes. I was worried the 20 in. wheels would be too harsh of a ride when we drove it around our local streets.......not at all and I like the sportiness they give this big rig. I was very happy to have them on as we were motoring down the Autobahn at 130 mph but was a little worried about the everyday use. Granted it has only been a few days but so good so far. I wish the nav had a 3D view to it.......maybe they will add this in the near future. My 2005 RNS-E unit I have in my allroad has this feature. I also noticed on a lot of the 4.2's I was seeing that the chrome exhaust tips looked like they had already "bronzed" and had lost their luster. So I took out my chrome/aluminum polish and got after it. Now they look shiny and brand new. I am going to try and go skiing this upcoming weekend and want to see how the Q handles in the snow compared to my allroad being that the Q has the newer quattro version.

Upcoming mods: VAG to set up the remote window up/down feature. DHL delivered my new Thule rack system from Roofrackshop.com so I will be installing them this week. Now I need to find a box for the top that will fit our needs.

In the 2 days we have had it, we have had no less than 4 different strangers comment very positively on our Q7, not to mention Family and Friends who really like it. Who else are having complete strangers come up to you and ask you questions about your Q7?

Default Why would you need to edit your reg plates ?

I don't understand why you would need to do this as they can seem them on the street outside his house ?

Nice car BTW, it would have killed me if I had had to wait more than a week for mine ;-)

hey did you get your Q7 from Barrier? Nice house by the way, looks like a great view. Are you on the Eastside?

Yeah, Barrier handled our European Delivery. We are on the Eastside, but more Eastside of Puyallup.

Did you get the cold weather package? We really wanted the wood steering wheel and shift **** but were unable to order them with the Cold Weather package at that time.
