which is the better car?
I am seriously thinking if it is worth it to ditch my 2017 Q7 for this. Reasons to stay with Q7 anyone?

I hope they tone down that grill on the X7. It seems to go above the headlights quite a bit, which makes it look strange. Also, Car and Driver claims the X7 is about 200 inches long, which isn't really that different from the Q7. They also note there isn't much cargo room with the third row up, which also is about the same as for the Q7.

I think the X7 is ugly. That said if the tech is on par or better with the Q7 and there is more usable space I'd take a look at it.
The Q7 has ample 3rd row room for the few times a year I have guests and driving around town but if I gain more storage space in both 2 (more so) and 3 (less so) row configurations is what I really need. (sadly the hatch angle sucks and I think think of about 3-4 times I thought I had stuff fitting in there until I tried to close the hatch) I've noticed with both 3rd rows up fitting a big stroller in the back is a challenge or impossible) I've either had to break them down more than normal and/or move the 3rd row so its actually not back all the way (inch or so, passenger won't really notice but the warning lights on the dash flash) .
