Was there any update to how Q7 measures the air pressure in tires or the way it is displaying the low pressure warnings on 2018 models, or late 2017 builds through software/hardware updates?
I had low pressure warning in mine, but I checked the tires and they were all within specified (somewhat lower than I am used to) psi's, so I had to run the pressure monitor setting for it to learn/train, which makes me believe that these Q7s still don't have actual tire pressure sensors on rims.

There are no sensors.

The tire monitoring system works by analyzing wheel speed. It is based on change, so if you set it when the pressure was high, the tires can set off the alarm even if the tires still are within the recommended pressure range. Keep in mind that pressures normally drop in colder temps, and with winter coming, this could have set your system alarm off. Some people like having sensors in the actual wheel/tire, but I have found that to be a huge hassle as it adds to the expense of replacing tires. Also, most individual sensors have batteries that die. Replacing a sensor retires taking the wheel off, which turned out to be way more expensive than I thought when all four sensors died on my prior car.

in the 2013, it says

The driver message can be displayed again by pressing the !CHECK I button . If only one tire is affected, the display will indicate its position.
it will only show tell you which one if only one tire is affected.
