Default Short Question on Audi Care...

Couldn't find the answer by searching the forum...

Does anybody know how much Audi Care is for the MY17 Q7? I was able to find a .pdf in google and it is listed at an MSRP of $849. Is that accurate and is full MSRP usually paid on these service-contracts?

I'm planning on leasing and a higher residual of 1% on the MSRP of my ordered vehicle is actually a bit higher than $849 so if that's indeed the price, adding it should be a no-brainer, correct?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, its $849, and most dealer will say its non-negotiable as that's near cost from Audi. Some here will tell you they got it for a discount but they likely had it rolled into their purchase price.

I think its totally worth it. I dont ever remeber even walking out of a simple oil change and some checks at a German auto dealer for less than $250. 4 years for $849 is a sure thing

Audi Care is non-negotiable. The money goes to Audi Corporate and the dealers get reimbursed for the service work performed. Some dealers pretend to discount Audi Care if you get it at the time of purchase, but they really just give you an additional discount on the car itself, which if you negotiated hard enough you would have gotten anyway.

On a leased car it's beneficial to buy Audi Care upfront as it increases the residual by 1%. On non-leased cars you can buy Audi Care when you bring it in for the 15k service directly from the service department.

Thanks, folks!

I agree it's a great deal - even at full MSRP.

I will integrate that number into my lease-sheet.

Thanks again!

EDIT: Just ran the numbers - Audi Care is going to add $2.65 to my monthly payment. I'd say it's worth it - LOL..

Wow typically $900 would add around $25-$30 a month in payment. You sure you're doing your lease calc correctly?

Yeah, $849 divided by 36 is about $23.58 per month. Seems like it should be $25-$26 more per month on a 36 month lease.

I've only leased an Audi once and it's been a few years, but as far as I remember you pay the full price for Audi Care. It's not subject to the residual like the car itself.

It raises his residual 1% so on a car near $80k, it's only like paying $49

Thanks for the clarification... Seems like a no brainer for anyone leasing the car.

Anticipating picking up my A4 B9 Quattro Prestige from the dealer next week now that it has supposedly been released from the port in Houston. Since it sat there for a month and a half and taken over a month longer than what was originally quoted I was planning on asking my dealer to "throw in" Audi Care at no charge. I'm not sure what the cost is for my car but does this sound like a reasonable request to make? I'm already getting the 6% TrueCar discount and a $500 Audi discount but I haven't asked for anything else and never picked up the rental car they agreed to pay for (they were out of loaners).
