Dude watch their youtube videos. It's way safer than jacks and jackstands. People who bash this have not used or seen one in person. My buddy has one and they are very nice and worth the cost if you like to work on your cars.

Yeah I'm getting the 5000SLX delivered tomorrow. Ordered from Home Depot it was $1027 - $100 after opening a HD credit card. I can't wait to try it out!

Also on sale for $999 on costco.com

Using a 5000 on my 5-series, M3, and S2000, and when we buy our Q7 here shortly, intending to use it there as well. Great product.

This jack is designed to lock in at two different levels and is solid enough to wrench on anything you can reach. For major work underneath, you may need a real lift. But for most tire, brake, exhaust, etc work this one rocks.

Awesome! I hadn't seen them used like that. I guess I know what I'll be getting around December!

I just got around to setting up my Quick Jack today. I did a test lift of my S5 and although it lifted it just fine, the rubber block deformed so much that it was pressing on places it's not supposed to press on! It also rubbed off some of the protective coating on the jack points.

Grant it I'm in Phoenix and it's 100+ almost all the time. Could the rubber be deforming more because of the heat or is what I'm seeing completely expected?

Most of the protective coating was already gone from my S4 from the dealer lifting the car. I also didn’t have any issues with the rubber block deforming lifting my S4.

Haven’t tried it on the Q7 yet.

Default Which version?

I know Geojoe has the 7000 for his Q7, but then someone mentioned that they are going to use the 5000 on a future Q7. Just to clarify, has anyone used a 5000 on the Q7 successfully either horizontally or vertically? Thanks!

I just got a 5000SLX and it’s too short to use with the Q7, which is disappointing. It’s about an inch too short and while I was able to get the car in the air, I don’t feel comfortable using it to switch tires let alone crawl under it. I primarily bought to work on the 911, but it was also to be used to switch between winter and summer tires on the Audis.

Would running it 90 degrees out (rotated) solve it for you? I know some folks in the BMW 5-series community avoid buying the SLX extension by using the 5000 'sideways'.
