The new ones go in reverse to the OEM ones. It is a 2 minute per door job. In my case I had to trim back a bit of the door plastic as the new ones were very tight.

This is my $10/set of 4:

All I see under door is this little light - (2018 Q7 Prestige).
Does it go there?

Yes

Here was one I found:

Night and day difference. Bought some different ones for my car, went back to oem 5 minutes later.

Not to rain on the parade, but this is one of the dumbest trends yet. I’m no one’s brand sheep. You cannot pay me to advertise, and I certainly won’t pay for the privilege. No-logo puddle lights for me, thx.

Even worse: light up badges on the hood / grille. Terribad.

The puddle lights on my current Q7 are kinda feeble. Logo lights on previous Q7 (same year, etc) were much brighter. Could aftermarket, or accessory ones are brighter?

I remember a man who rearranged his car badges to say VOVLO , I'm much more annoyed by stuff that says "Sent from my I-phone".

Haven’t anyone seen the 911 owners with “PORSCHE” stickers all over their cars, LOL. This is nothing.

In my experience two types of aftermarket lights exist. The cheaper type are much larger projection, not as bright and are blurry. A second type exist, cost a bit more but look almost identical to OEM.
