Oil coming out oil cap of Supercharged 2018 Q7 3.0 TFSI
I have a supercharged 2018 Q7 3.0 TFSI with 74K miles and oil is getting on my engine cover because it is seeping out of the oil cap. I just replaced the PCV (due to oil consumption issue) and its still happening. Its not a ton of oil and it happens usually after a long drive.
There is an AUDI TSB (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...18680-0001.pdf) and it suggest to replace the breather hose that connects to the PCV. I got the hose replaced only to find it does not have a check valve like the turbo versions do...
So I wonder if replacing this breather hose will really do anything. The breather hose has the following Audi PN 06E-103-226-A PCV Breather hose.
Any thoughts?
Thank you.

The image I originally uploaded didn't have all my red text. Anyway, does anybody know the most recent part number for this breather hose? Has the original one (06E-103-226-A) maybe been replaced with one that has a check valve? The original breather hose (06E-103-226-A) is very hard to find any information on.
Thanks you!

Yes, that's the one I am talking about. Does that have some sort of membrane (check valve) on it? The mechanic removed the old hose and it had the following part number 06E-103-226-A and it was just a straight hose. I am wondering if 06E103217AL is the new hose and it has some sort of check valve. Also, would this be the hose to replace if oil is seeping out of the engine oil cap?

There’s no check valve in it. Just a straight through hose. Mine crumbled when I changed the pcv valve 6 months ago. Taped it back up until recently that i had time to remove the supercharger again. Over $100 for a plastic pipe is beyond ridiculous.
Have you tried changing new oil cap? Its easier and cheaper. Usually I have a hard time removing my oil cap as it’s sealed pretty tight.

Thanks for the help and yes I will change the cap next. I was just concerned it was a bigger issue because the Audi TSB says to replace this hose and made it seem like this breather hose had a check valve that would go bad and let supercharge air into the crankcase. Why do you think the TSB (https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...18680-0001.pdf) is saying to replace this hose for the issue of oil gathering around the oil cap? Also, I don't understand why my original hose had the following PN 06E-103-226-A and not the 06E103217AL you provided.... is this maybe an older version of the hose? I can't find any info online.

Nope didn’t do anything. New pcv, engine flush , piston soak , nothing help. Im leaning towards valve seals. I recently poured in liqui moly motor oil saver, which is an ester type oil to rejuvenate the seals. I usually burn 1qt at 900-1200 miles. It takes time for it to soak into the seals. So far it’s been about 500 miles and little over 2 weeks and the mmi oil gauge is holding steady since earlier this week. We’ll see in a few weeks.
