You can adjust that and the ventilated seats through MMI settings.

In the MMI. Can't remember exactly how to get their, but when you find the spot for driver/passenger seat warmer, there is an option to make it only on the back, only on the seat or anything in between (the default is balanced).

I had it in the X5M it was not that noticeable. I appreciated it on long drives but it could have been better. (IMO)

Best massaging seat in any reasonably price vehicle around. Only the back rest massages, none on the ****. I tried every massaging seat around, BMW (new 7 series) this one you couldn't really feel too much, BMW 5 series (F10) this one only massaged the **** not the back and the seat hurt after long drives, Mercedes S class (could barely feel it), Bentley Continental (similar to the Q7 seat in terms of massage feel and intensity but has less settings), Ford/Lincoln comfort SUV seat, actually pretty good in comparison to everyone but the Q7 was better. The only seat that I actually liked more than the Q7 was the S8 comfort seats. Essentially the same seat as in the Q7 but has one more degree of articulation in the middle of the back rest.

I test drove a 2022 audi Q7 and the car wouldn't let me turn the massaging feature back on if the car was moving. That was disappointing because if I went on a trip I'd have to pull over and stop every 15 minutes to reset the massage feature.

The new q7 I took for a test drive wouldn't let me restart the massage feature unless the car was stopped which means I'd have to pull over every 15 minutes on long drives to restart the massage feature.

My ‘20 A6 (new to me) has a button on the side of the seat bottom to turn on massage function. Messing with MMI isn’t necessary while driving. It’s the small square button at the center of the buttons that, together, form a circle.
