The sensor is located in the expansion tank. There is only 1 coolant level sensor. Please take the time to search these forums. There are many threads about this problem.

Can I just replace the sensor at the bottom of the tank or should I replace the whole tank?

It looks like the sensor is built into the tank.

You have to replace the whole tank but this tank with coolant sensor is not very expensive. However are you sure that the coolant sensor is faulty and cause of the low coolant level warning is not due to the another reason?

I am not sure that's why I asked for your help.

But the water pump was replaced by a good non-German-car Mechanic who didn't care about the light. He said just drive like that.

If you have the message of low coolant level on the dash and the coolant level in the expansion tank is unchanged, then the level sensor is suspected.
However, I would probably start by observing the level of coolant in this tank and then make decisions about further steps.

yes, but it depends of the engine version. Different for 2.0 and 3.0.
