I had this bookmarked in case I ended up doing it myself. I've not verified its usefulness so good luck.

Seems simple, but it wasn't super intuitive to me. Longcoding was not necessary and also showed up diffeently on my App than posted above. Hopefully this will save someone some time and frustration.
What app are you using, can you explain this option a little more, I'm not following how you're doing this. Thanks.

what did you end up doing? Did you have to have Audi fix it?
Hi

2017 Q7 owners in the U.S.: If you are getting the "front left" or "front right" "side marker light defective" message, please file a report with the NHTSA (nhtsa dot gov). Audi recall campaign 97CB (NHTSA campaign ID 16V642000) addresses this exact issue and applies to some affected VIN numbers but not all. It appears that this issue is happening to MANY more owners outside of the VIN numbers that qualify for the recall. Be sure to add your voice.

It happened to me on the LEFT side in 2022 when the car was around 72,000 miles. I had an extended warranty through 80k, and the dealer replaced the left side "Defective headlight assembly" charging $3655 to my extended warranty company.

At the end of 2023 it started happening on the RIGHT side. But now the car is over 80,000 miles and my extended warranty is over. I will not spend 3-4k to have this fixed. I will get an OBD11 tool and turn off the front side markers (reducing my safety.) Hopefully more owners who experience the issue will report it and the recall will widen, so I can turn the side markers on again and then have the dealer replace my right side headlight assembly.

I am also having same problem with front left marker light. I took it to dealer and he said, entire headlight needs to be replaced and gave me a quote of about $5K. This makes no sense.
If so many people are facing it, there should be a recall.
