Default Right headlamp replacement $4,294

I got the same error message, except front right marker. Can't see any difference between right and left sides. Audi dealer has offered to replace the front right headlamp assembly for $4,294 ($3,461 for parts). Apparently it requires removing the front bumper and recalibrating the camera and sensors mounted in the bumper.

Although this may be a sign of imminent failure, I can't see preemptively spending that much on something like this that seems to be functioning perfectly. And, I'll be getting another bid.

Has anyone had experience with non-Audi-dealer repairs?

Default OBD11?

I just bought OBDeleven - having the same Front Right Side Marker Defective alert.

How can I disable this with the OBD11 tool?

Dennis,
I have the same problem. My car only has 41K miles and I am livid they are not covering this under warranty, being under 50K Miles. This is ridiculous!!!
what did you end up doing? Did you have to have Audi fix it?

I knew that was going to be your next post. There are multiple threads on replacing the battery and dealing with the serial number.

I’ve tried to disable with OBDeleven pro. Cleared faults several times but it still pops up whenever the headlight is turned on. Headlight was replaced but works perfectly and marker light comes on.
any ideas?

So I didn’t realize I had to actually disable the side marker lights as clearing the fault didn’t work. Disabled now but still need a fix as I think the light is an important safety feature.
