Jimminez's Q7 - Pics and random
After a short stint without an Audi after selling my Florett SQ5, a new 2018 Q7 is being added to the garage. My 2004 4Runner had served me well but needed to be sent away to live with another family.
Details on the new addition:
2018 Q7 Technik (Canadian equivalent to the Prestige)
Florett Silver Metallic on black
- Black Optics
- S-Line
- 21" Wheels
- Luxury
- Driver's Assist
Arrived at local dealer yesterday as a dealer swap and got to see it in person today. Still dirty from transfer but had to share.
Hitch needs to be installed and winter tires mounted on the stock wheels.
Pick up is set for end of next week, then off to detailer for Cquartz and Xpel.
Other goodies are on the way.

Yah, I only plan on adding tint to the fronts to match the rear and don't plan on adding any additional to the back. What I meant was more so the color. The factory tint is sometimes kind of brown and the front windows have a bit of green, and then the film is greyish. The difference isn't normally visible not overly bothersome. It will be what it will be.
As for the amount, my guy measured 23% rear and 70% for the front and will go with a 35% Xpel tint which will get it to about 30% or so. I don't need the front to be identical to the back, but don't want it to be darker.
As for the color difference, you can kind of see it in this pic. I purposefully stopped taking pics from the side that highlighted the difference.
