Default APR TUNE IS HERE

APR just announced the tune for our Q7, who's going to get it?

Ive already contacted my APR authorized dealer, waiting for them to get tune downloaded and set-up time!

Will APR tune void the warranty?
And how much to do the tuning?

Just called APR.
Unfortunately they do not have program switching like I have on my B8.5 A5 due to file size but are working on it. Not a huge deal unless you cannot find 93 and want more power.
They also do not have all the box codes, there are 4 apparently. They have 1. It could mean going for a tune and having a slight delay while they unlock, but they can tune you.
Very tempted to go stage 1 on 91 and then go to the track... but I kind of want to run 1/4 mile before getting tuned to get a baseline.

I’m going for the $1k stage 1

Atleast for me in the past, APR statements are correct.
91 octane, 110hp is the best bang for your buck

don’t know if I want to do the pulleys, Intake maybe, but price is steep $725 for stage 2

APR offers APR Plus which is 2X $ for keeping factory drivetrain warranty.
Regular tune will void powertrain related warranty issues, but if your headliner falls down, or wheel speed sensor fails, or your seat stops moving no, those will still be covered.
Look up magnuson moss warranty act, this "will tuning void my warranty" question has been asked a million times.

At the end of the day... "you have to pay to play" and tuning does come with consequences but I have APR tuned two cars of mine and had nothing but the best praise for their products.
Let's try not to turn this into a warranty voiding thread!
BTW it's FRIDAY!

hrp783 let us know what you do. would love to know your experience before/after.
I agree 91 octane stage 1 is the best bang for buck. wish there was program switching.
