Oh wow. Thanks for sharing, I’ll count my blessings that it did not deploy then - it could have been much worse. My doctor recommends physio for the the next eight weeks and the orthopedic surgeon has ordered MRIs for my left shoulder based on the pain in my arm and shoulder. It could have been much worse if the airbag deployed then…

That’s a great point, the chiropractor mentioned it based on my x-rays highlighted that my neck didn’t have the normal curvature which it should have and this is attributable to whiplash. I will ask the folks at the MRI location to include that next week.

You will probably need a doctor to add the neck to the MRI order. Asking the MRI facility to do it may not work on its own.

Be prepared to have the insurance company total your car. It is not certain, but your damage looks similar to what happened to my wife's car, which was declared a total loss. There is a lot of value in the electronics and other parts in the car, which can result in the car being more valuable to the insurance company as a write off than the cost of repairing it.
